29th February - Ali Baba and the Forty Theives

29th February - Jamie Roberts
Today’s rehearsal we concentrated on 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves'
We had a good lesson today because everyone concentrated on what we needed to do. We recapped on what we already did, but we needed to work on the cue lines and make sure they were a lot quicker and we did the transition from scene to scene. Today we worked on the forty thieves and we had to show the element on them. I felt they were very much fire. And we had to show this by our body language and facial expression.
We then worked on the part were Ali Baba’s wife finds out about the gold. Laura did this very well. David (Ali Baba) and Laura worked on their relationship together, (being husband and wife)
In the scene I have to move the flats on stage so we set where I had to move them to. I also had to work out where I needed to keep my next props so they wouldn’t get in the way and also wouldn’t be on stage.

I felt I worked well in this lesson because I was focus at the start of the lesson but one of the problems was I was getting very stressed in the rehearsals because when we had to keep going over the scenes I had to keep moving the flats. I think I could have improved this by staying more positive and my focus would have stayed throughout. I did make sure I had all of my props before I started so I wouldn’t have to run across the scene. I also was always there when I needed to move the flats.
